Amber is a Baltic resin and was the first gemstone in history.It is emitted from conifers in the form of resin and then, over the years, undergoes a process of fossilization and mineralization.

It is translucent with a characteristic color ranging from yellow to reddish.

The uses of Amber are diverse and have increased over the centuries, from first sacred incense, then amulet, then for jewelry making and finally in cosmetics.

Baltic Amber: properties

The properties of amber can be attributed to the succinic acid it contains, specifically Baltic Amber known as succinite, contains 3-8% succinic acid.  This substance is effective against the signs of skin aging, restoring firmness and evenness to the skin. It counteracts dryness of the skin of the face and body, and on the latter it also has an anti-stretch mark action.

With its enveloping scent, it succeeds in stimulating the sense of smell, thus reactivating the mind and relieving stress and muscle tension.
